2nd Mansfield Scout Group is one of the largest and most active Scout Groups in Mansfield and District. With 2 Beaver Colonies, 2 Cub Packs, a Scout Troop and an Explorer Unit, 2nd Mansfield Scout Group provides quality scouting for over 100 young people aged from 6 to 18. Each Section focuses on a specific age group and provides a programme based around three main themes: outdoor and adventure, world and skills. In each section a range of badges and awards support all aspects of Scouting, including the main themes: leadership, teamwork and personal development. The 2nd Mansfield Scout Group programme is exciting, fun and educational and enables young people to reach their potential in a safe and secure environment.

All Sections meet on a weekly basis and in addition take part in a variety of weekend activities, camps, sleepovers and international adventures.

2nd Mansfield is run by a dedicated team of volunteers with varying backgrounds who hold the skills, qualities and experience necessary to run the varied programme we offer. All our volunteers hold a current Disclosure and Barring Service Check; our Section Leaders complete an appropriate raining scheme and hold a current first response first aid certificate.

2nd Mansfield Scout Group also has strong connections with N.O.M.A.D.S. Scout Network who provide further Scouting experiences for members of Mansfield and District aged 18-25.

2nd Mansfield Scout Group was established in 1910.
